Title Sequences

21 Jump Street

The title sequence starts with bold spread out text reading "THE END" the video then transitions into a numerous amount of jump cuts in a fast pace. There is also a mixture of diegetic and non - diegetic sounds within the title , diegetic sound to portray explosions are used as well as up beat pop music. Further into the title sequence there is more titles over moving image , this is effective because it helps to illustrate the narrative and also credit actors/actresses. The use of edits and fast car chase scenes and explosions help the audience identify that the genre of this film is action adventure. The main characters used are also portrayed as humorous also helping to identify the comedic aspect of the film. The sequence uses natural lighting for its scenes but also has a palette of masculine colours which could also address the fact the core audience for this film are males.

The Incredibles

The title sequence starts of  with a bold title that reads "THE INCREDIBLES" the cartoonist title sequence then begins by using familiar and recognisable non-diegetic music as background sound. Characters are shown as powerful and mystical , each shot somehow is transitioned to credit the production crew. This title sequence uses text over still images and black background. This title sequence focuses a lot on its graphics , there is a variety of visuals to help illustrate its animated film and also establish a target audience. The colours used in the title sequence range from a few earthy colours which also help to show the films friendly nature.
